A real king scallop shell hand-painted with acrylic paint in Morecambe Bay.
This shell features a ship at dusk, inspired by the Hispaniola, or Moby Dick as she was later known. The schooner was built in Lancaster and went on to be used in the iconic Disney film adaptation of Treasure Island, and then later in the film version of Moby Dick. She spent her final years docked in Morecambe, where people could pay to board her.
